About Me

The last born of the late Johnson Sidumo and Jostinah Nobandla Dwangu, both of whom were not educated; but saw education as the only sustainable provision they could offer their children for a decent living in this world. My mother was a very strict disciplinarian. I remember that when I became mischievous and started bunking classes from as early as primary school Level, she spared no punches in making sure that I went to school until the last bell had rung to mark the end of the school day. There were instances where she had to solicit the help of the ‘out of school youth’ in the local community to chase and get hold of me. For the reason of her old age and health related issues, she could not contend with an energetic young boy that I was at that stage when it came to speed, stamina, ferocity and agility. I cannot take lightly the pains she took for me to be what I am today. Thank you very much; Tolo, Zulu, Mchenge, Dlangamandla, Mfingo, Ngonyama, Lwandl’aluwelwa-luwelwa ziinkonjane zodwa zona zimaphiko made; for playing the role of a mother to a child the way you did to me.
